When I set out to find a technology leader for Oleria, the first thing that I did was make a prioritized list of the most important attributes that I was looking for in our new leader. I’m thrilled to share that I’ve found a leader who nails all of my criteria and much more, our new CTO, Siva Garudayagari. Siva exemplifies Oleria’s values and brings the people and technology leadership that will enable us to continue to accelerate on our path to building the future of access. 

Siva is a leader who attracts talented engineers and is committed to creating a psychologically safe environment where team members are empowered to push boundaries in service of our mission, knowing that mistakes should be treated as learning experiences, not character flaws. He is an excellent coach and mentor who is dedicated to helping team members grow. His deep technology expertise, strong drive for results, and focus on building an innovative and rigorous engineering culture will accelerate Oleria’s path to trusted products for our customers that raises the bar for what is possible in access management.

Siva is remarkably well qualified to build products at the scale we’re aiming for. He has over 20 years of experience building large-scale enterprise solutions at AWS, Microsoft, and Oracle — products used by millions of customers. He spent over 14 years at Microsoft building and leading highly effective global and diverse teams. His work at Microsoft spanned building SQL Server, incubating multiple Azure platform services, and leading the deep integration of third-party services with the Azure platform.  

For the past three years, he served as the engineering leader responsible for monitoring and managing the health of AWS’s multi-million machine EC2 fleet. He raised the bar on EC2 reliability, always insisting on high standards for systems and processes and coaching leaders to take ownership and vigorously earn and keep customer trust.

At Oleria, we are building a future of adaptive and autonomous security that will free companies to pursue their boldest ambitions confidently and securely at scale — without security ever slowing them down or sacrificing their customers’ trust. I can’t imagine a better person to lead our technology team to realize that vision than Siva Garudayagari.
